SICAM PAS V8.10 Failed to Connect Micom P543 Areva

Well, this is my recent project when I need to integrate the Micom P543 (Areva) to SICAM PAS V8.10. Here is the SICAM PAS UI Operation that I have recorded. See the pictures below:

  • On the left side of the picture is the status of E01F87L Micom P543 Areva with SICAM PAS V.810+HF9: The connection of the IEC-61850 protocol between E01F87L failed with SICAM PAS V8.10
  • On the right side, you can see the Status of E01F87L Micom P543 Areva with SICAM PAS V8.13: The Connection of the IEC-61850 protocol between E01F87L is a success with SICAM PAS V8.13

Here is the comparison picture of the Successful/Unsuccessful connection of Micom P543 to SICAM PAS:

SICAM PAS V8.10 Failed to Connect Micom P543 Areva

I have tried several methods to get the MCL file from the Micom P543 (Areva) like from the default software for the parameterization and from the S1 SE Studio and also using Omicron IED Scout. it is failed when connecting to SICAM PAS V8.10+HF9

When it comes to SICAM PAS V8.13, The IEC-61850 connection is OK. I think, technically the IEC 61850 cannot be generalized when it comes communication devices of two vendors. Despite, the theory it should be the standard protocol within the substation automation system.
